New feature film from Kinjarling Films goes into production April 2nd with shooting to take place in Albany, Shark Bay and Co. Clare, Ireland
LOW LIE THE FIELDS

Kinjarling Films will be shooting their fourth feature film in Albany commencing April 2025 with an international cast including Irish singer songwriter Declan O’Rourke alongside Luka Bloom. The film also stars Australia’s own Chloe Hurst as well as WA music icons Stephen Pigram (The Pigram Brothers) and Jae Laffer (The Panics).
The film is titled Low Lie the Fields and will be an Irish musical drama in the tradition of Once (2007), Crazyheart (2009) and Inside Llwelyn Davis (2013).
Principal photography takes place in Albany throughout April and the production will also be filming for a week in Co Clare, Ireland, as well as three days in Shark Bay.
Produced by Adam Morris and Talarah Pedrocchi Roelofs, it will be the fourth feature film produced in Albany in as many years from Kinjarling Films with the production once again funded by The Great Southern Film Co-Op.

Low Lie the Fields is Executive Produced by Melbourne’s Tait Brady and Queensland’s Daniel Mulvihill and will be distributed by Melbourne’s Label Distribution.
"I am thrilled to be heading back to Albany to work on Low Lie the Fields as “Sarah”. Being a big fan of romantic musical films like ONCE, I welcome this opportunity with open arms and can't wait to celebrate the sounds of Declan O'Rourke and Luka Bloom." Chloe Hurst

2024 began with an Australian tour which included my first visit to Albany. 2025 begins with the news that I will be contributing music to Adam Morris’ film Low Lie the Fields, in which I will also be making an appearance. The film will star Declan O’Rourke, one of the true legends of Irish song. Thank you Adam Morris for this most interesting opportunity. Luka Bloom
I loved Adam’s script as soon as I read it. I’m honoured by his invitation to play such a role, especially alongside Chloe Hurst, Luka Bloom, and Stephen Pigram. I very much look forward to making myself an instrument in service of achieving the artistic vision for this wonderful story. Declan O’Rourke
